The Knights Landing Sportsmen's Club located in the Sutter Basin region in Northern California was started in 1948 when a small group of men got together who enjoyed shooting and hunting. The NRA Charter was established that year. The early meetings were held in the Scout Cabin and the Rifle Team built a rifle range at Camp 3 on the Sacramento River levee.

Over the last 25 years our Northern California pheasant hunting club has brought birds from a pheasant farm. Today, we plant 3,500 pheasants on approximately 35,000 acres in Sutter Basin and 1,000 birds on approximately 15,000 acres in river Garden Farms. Chuckers and Bobwhite Quail have also been planted

The Pheasant Program today includes posting signs on the lands, planting pheasants, and patrolling the hunting areas for club members and associate members.
